If you are like me, you had to have the best big brute 3 Horsepower Router on the market. The big guys are great, but far too large and heavy for most of the routing work that I do.
When I started using one of these I realized how much simpler things could be.
These work well handheld, but I get the most use from them by mounting one on the slider board for my parallel Straight Edge Clamps. The clamp locks onto the sheet stock and has a groove that the slider board catches in. I load a plywood bit in the router and push the rig across a sheet of stock. It routes perfect grooves for the matching parts or shelves to fit in. This is far easier than trying to manipulate large sheet stock across a router table.
